"Too many ads for something I’m already paying for"
I signed up for Big Ten Plus mainly to catch a few games, and the ads got old really fast. It feels like every single break is stuffed with the same commercials over and over again.
For a paid service, I guess I expected it to feel a little less annoying, if that makes sense. Sometimes the constant ads pull me right out of the game, which is frustrating when I’m just trying to watch.
The stream itself is fine when it’s working, but the amount of ads makes me question whether I’d renew. Overall, it’s been disappointing...

"Blacked out again when I needed it"
I paid for this app to watch my team, and from what I remember, this isn’t the first time I’ve run into a blackout right when I actually want to watch a game. It’s really frustrating because the main reason I signed up was to see these games live. If the matchups I care about keep being unavailable, it makes me wonder what the point of having the app is.

"Decent for Replays, But Not Always Easy"
I mostly use Big Ten Plus to watch replays, and it works fine when the games are actually posted. The frustrating part is that sometimes they take longer than I expect to show up, or I have to dig around more than I’d like just to find the game I’m looking for. It’s not a terrible service by any means, but in my opinion it definitely needs to be smoother and more reliable.

I mostly use this to catch games later without having the scores spoiled, and for the most part it works fine. That said, the app does buffer here and there, and finding the replay I want can be more annoying than it should be. Not saying it’s a scam, but for something I’m paying for, I’d expect the whole experience to feel a little more polished.

"The stream delay is absolutely ridiculous"
I’m 100% convinced the stream is way too far behind. I’d get game notifications on my phone telling me what happened before the play even showed up on the stream, so the whole thing kept getting spoiled. Super frustrating

Trying to use bigtenplus.com gets old really fast. The pages take forever to load, the menus feel all over the place, and finding the game or replay I actually want is way harder than it should be. A few times I clicked around thinking I was close, and then boom, I’m basically back where I started. Also, the login has given me grief more than once. Anyway, what a relaxing little adventure. For something I’m paying for, the website really shouldn’t feel this clunky.

"Team plans feel way too restrictive"
I really just wanted to follow one team, but the plan options make it feel harder than it should be. You end up paying for a bunch of stuff you don’t even care about, and it’s not super clear how switching it around is supposed to work. If it’s meant to be team-specific, it should be simpler and cheaper. it’s frustrating.

"Live game never showed up"
I paid so I could watch a live game, and when it was supposed to be on, it just wasn’t there. The app kept showing older stuff and random replays instead, which was super annoying. I even reached out to support, but the replies felt basic and didn’t really fix anything. I’m curious if other people had the same issue, because if live games are the main reason to subscribe, this is a big problem. I ended up canceling after one night. Just not worth the hassle for me.

"Hard to Watch"
I had a tough time getting through it. The camera work felt bad, and the audio was messy most of the time. It just made the whole thing kind of frustrating to watch.

I tried logging in about five times and it just kept looping me right back to the same screen. I even reset my password because I figured maybe I was doing something wrong, but that didn’t help at all. Frustrating when you’re actually trying to use the app and it just won’t let you in

"Game times have been off"
The game times keep showing up wrong for me, and I’ve already missed two because of it. I don’t think I’m being unreasonable here—I checked the app like I was supposed to, so it’s frustrating when the info isn’t accurate. Really annoying experience.

"Too many limits for what they charge"
I signed up for Big Ten Plus thinking it would be easy for my family to watch different games at the same time, but that definitely wasn’t the case. They make it sound like you’re getting solid access, but the details around streaming limits are way too vague until you actually run into the problem.
For the price, it feels cheap to only let us do so much before someone gets kicked off. Not everyone in the house follows the same team, especially on busy game days, so this has been a really annoying surprise.

"Fun when it works, but the freezes ruin the moment"
I really enjoy being able to watch the games, especially when it feels like you’re right there following the energy of the match. But the stream kept freezing or randomly dropping in quality, and I had to refresh it several times during one game. It kind of pulls you out of the whole experience, which is frustrating when you’re paying for it. I want to focus on the game, not wonder if the stream is going to hold up.

"Canceling was way more annoying than it needed to be"
I tried to cancel Big Ten Plus and thought it would take like two minutes, but no, actually it turned into this whole annoying thing. The site kept bouncing me around, and I could not find a clear cancel button anywhere. I finally got it canceled after clicking through a bunch of pages and checking emails, so I guess it worked out, but it really should not be that hard. Signing up was easy enough, which makes it even more frustrating that leaving feels so hidden.

"Pretty frustrating for watching games"
I paid for Big Ten Plus, and it’s been more trouble than it’s worth. About half the time on my TV it says the device isn’t supported, and when I tried switching to my tablet, it froze after maybe 5 or 10 minutes. I restarted things, updated the app, checked the usual stuff, and still couldn’t get it working right. Super annoying when all you’re trying to do is watch one game. I probably wouldn’t pay for it again

"Accessibility was frustrating from what I remember"
I tried using Big Ten Plus with my screen reader, it was rough. From what I remember, a lot of the buttons weren’t labeled, the stream I opened didn’t have captions, and the keyboard navigation kept getting stuck in places. After about 20 minutes of fighting with it, I just gave up. If basic accessibility is this difficult, I don’t feel like it’s worth paying for.

"I kept waiting for support to get..."
I kept waiting for support to get back to me, thinking, okay, maybe they’re just busy… but nope, nothing. It got frustrating after a while because I actually needed help, and in the end it felt like I was just being ignored.

"Announcers were kind of distracting"
I don’t know, the announcers just kept talking right over the plays and it made the game harder to follow. Half the time they sounded like they weren’t totally sure what was happening, which is weird because that’s kind of their whole job. Maybe the game was moving too fast or something, but it got annoying after a while.

"Yep, the app is just as frustrating as I expected"
I already had a feeling this app was going to be annoying, and it pretty much proved me right. Pages take forever to load, the games are hidden in random menus, and it randomly logs me out for no clear reason. I’m just trying to watch a game, not spend half my time wrestling with the app.

"Highlights are almost never there when I need them"
I keep checking after games and the highlights just aren’t up. Like after a close finish, a big comeback, a last-minute goal, a crazy dunk, or even just a regular game I missed, there’s usually nothing available. It’s frustrating because highlights are the main thing I want to watch when I don’t have time for the full game.
